Addendum
A revision to the proposal documents issued after the initial proposal set, typically late in the proposal period.
An addendum is a formal revision to construction proposal documents issued by the architect or owner before proposal day. Addenda can change quantities, specifications, scope, schedule, or any other aspect of the project.
Proposals must reflect all addenda issued through the deadline. A proposal that misses the latest addendum is non-responsive and may be disqualified.
Addenda often arrive in the final 24–48 hours before proposal day, putting estimators under pressure to re-price scope.
Always note in your scope letter which addenda you've accounted for ("This proposal is based on plans dated [Date] with addenda 1 through 4 inclusive.").
