Ridgeline Foundations doubled their pipeline with the same estimator headcount
How a 22-person foundation specialist in the Pacific Northwest used Bedrock's pier tool and proposal pipeline to proposal 2× the work.
Ridgeline Foundations is a 22-person foundation specialist in Portland, Oregon. They self-perform spread footings, drilled piers, mat slabs, and grade beams for commercial and light industrial main contractors.
Before Bedrock, Ridgeline proposal 110 projects a year with two full-time estimators. Their problem wasn't quality — their proposal hit rate was strong. It was capacity. They were turning down proposal invitations because they couldn't physically estimate fast enough.
"Every time we said no to a GC invitation, we were renting out our position in their proposal list to a competitor," said Eric Hoyt, Ridgeline's owner. "We needed to proposal more, not proposal better."
Drilled piers are 60% of Ridgeline's revenue. The single biggest time sink in their old workflow was pier takeoff. Their previous tool's count tool didn't tie back to pier geometry, so every project required a separate pier schedule built in a spreadsheet.
